Blueberry Cheesecake-the Homecoming

Blueberries are angel’s breath unsung!

You are a gem, a heaven’s gift

Others may avoid you,

Counting your sugar and calories,

Label you bad,  I don’t

You were blended with perfection

Whipped to a consistent level

Delight me, pleases me.

Your cheese pasteurized from faraway land

The pan whipped thee

Blessed the hands that produced you

The one one whisked the salt, the one who stirred the butter

In the alchemy of fire and love

You were baked with a smiling heart

To be served especially for me

I meet you here now, oven fresh

I once was whipped

But now am found.

Wildflower

Succulents bloom

Violets are blue

If you are the weed

I am the flower in between

I grow anywhere I am planted

Downstream or upstream

In harsh weather and in cool day

Wildflower flowing to the journey of the wind.
